Legal serving
What does "legal serving" mean and what does it consist of?
Service consists in the delivery of a document by the bailiff to a specific recipient. When we want to make sure that a document is brought to the attention of an individual, service constitutes irrefutable proof, because it is an authentic document. Indeed, by affixing his seal and his signature, the bailiff, being an officer of justice, acting under professional oath, confirms the receipt of the document by the recipient by recording everything in a report. This report that the bailiff writes becomes your last proof of delivery.
In addition, you should know that the legislator has provided, in the Code of Civil Procedure, that certain acts must absolutely be served by the bailiff. This therefore gives the judicial officer a power unique to this profession.
